 If you answered yes to all the question above, then you should know Congressional Country Club is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for developing and overseeing work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive Clubhouse and adjacent areas. Oversee a diverse team of well-trained housekeepers by modeling the way, by empowering, sharing what you know, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle.

 What will be expected of you: 

  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the clubhouse by maintaining an organized and efficient Housekeeping operation
  • Prepares work schedules in accordance with forecasted occupancy, events and daily upkeep of clubhouse
  • Supervises the day to day activities of housekeeping staff
  • Maintains familiarity with cleaning equipment; fills out requisition orders as necessary
  • Oversees and conducts inspections of Public Space for efficiency and cleanliness
  • Insures public space meets and exceeds customer expectations for the appearance of the clubhouse
  • Conducts department training on a regular basis
  • Provides staff with the skills training to provide value added service to members and guests
  • Monitors service and teamwork on a regular basis and counsels team members as needed
  • Writes maintenance orders as needed. Conducts inventories as assigned.
  • Checks linen closets and carts for cleanliness and supplies
  • Trains team members on proper cleaning techniques
  • Apply your talent for juggling to plan and schedule assignments and manage special requests for exceptional guest experience.
  • Uses 100-point inspection to ensure quality of rooms by inspecting rooms following cleaning by housekeepers
  • Insures that all associates follow safety rules and procedures. Takes corrective action where required to improve safety of work areas
  • Utilizes leadership skills and motivation techniques in order to maximize associate productivity and satisfaction of direct reports
  • Determines, communicates, and monitors achievement of standards of performance on a timely basis
  • Maintains proper linen pars, chemicals, and amenity inventories
  • Coordinates housekeeping work with other departments; Front Office, Engineering, Banquets, etc.
  • Evaluates Jonas room occupancy data to forecast Housekeeping personnel requirements
  • Approves payroll

  • Performs cleaning duties as needed
  • Use your knowledge and experience to take preventive measures for the protection and comfort of members and guests, and the safety and security of associates and the asset.
  • Use your practiced eye to ensure all guest and service areas are cleaned and turndown service delivered. Take action for loss prevention, optimal health and hygiene, to ensure guest comfort and associate safety.
  • Apply your talent for juggling to plan and schedule assignments and manage special requests for exceptional guest experience.
  • Keep a pulse on supplies and expenses, in order to meet or exceed budget goals.
  • Respond to members and guest requests and concerns, attending to guest needs with prompt courtesy.

 How we determine your qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 1- 2 years of employment related experience is required. Working knowledge of housekeeping is expected.
  • Supervisory skills are required.
  • You must be able to communicate effectively with team members, management and team members.
  • The ability to operate a two-way radio, cleaning and general office equipment, including a computer, is expected. This position requires continuous movement and standing, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Bilingual, Preferred.
